Professional Development for Community Rabbis
Tzohar views community rabbis as being at the forefront of our efforts to create an attractive, accessible, authentic Jewish identity for all Jews in Israel. Their role demands interpersonal skills, the ability to take initiative, good communication skills, and the sensitivity to apply Jewish law appropriately in challenging situations.
Tzohar empowers Community Rabbis to lead their communities with sensitivity and inclusiveness.
Virtual Community Rabbis
Supported by a generous grant from the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles.
Tzohar is at the cutting edge of the digital age.
More and more people are turning to the internet not only for information, but for meaning and belonging. In order to have an effect on a larger number of people and to break through geographic barriers, Tzohar has identified a need for an online presence for Community Rabbis. In October 2018, Tzohar launched a course to train rabbis how to use communications technology, social media, and online tools in order to play an active, relevant part in the public domain.
