Who are Tzohar’s Bridal Counselors?
Tzohar’s bridal counselors are experienced volunteers who are excited by the opportunity to help couples take their first step into married life. While their primary role is to explain the details of the required immersion in a mikvah, what they most enjoy – if desired by the couple – are discussions of broader questions that you may have about the wedding process or married life.
Each bride is required to attend one instruction session, a meeting usually held in the counselor’s home over a cup of coffee. The groom is encouraged to come as well, but that is optional. Often, the counselor’s spouse will also participate, which allows for a broader and more meaningful conversation.
At the end of the meeting, the counselor gives you a certificate confirming you met with a bridal counselor, which you should submit to Tzohar, or the Office of the Chief Rabbinate where you opened your marriage file.
How much does it cost?
The session with the Bridal Counselor, similar to the meeting with the rabbi and the wedding ceremony, is provided free of charge.
How does Tzohar match you with the right instructor?
Tzohar’s Bridal Counselor team is highly experienced in matching couples with the right instructors (or instructor couple) based on the details you provide in the initial registration form.
So what’s next?
