Israeli Friends of Tzohar

Israeli Friends of Tzohar

In 2017, Tzohar established a Circle of Friends, made up of a diverse group of individuals, religious & non-religious, women & men, who all work together to advance the goals of the organization.

Goals

  • To expand the influence of Tzohar in Israeli society & connect diverse audiences to the organization’s activities, including influencers & figures with ties to the fields of economics, culture, & politics.
  • To promote new ideas & initiatives that embody the values of Tzohar.
  • To expand Tzohar connections in the Jewish world abroad.
  • To increase the circle of supporters of the organization from Israel & the Diaspora.

Roles

  • Be a partner in thinking about strategic priorities within the organization.
  • assist in expanding the existing programs of Tzohar (marriage, Shorashim, holidays, Kashrut, ethics, etc.).
  • Participate in various Tzohar events & activities.

Structure

  • In 2023, the Circle of Friends numbered about 150 members. The organization aims to increase this number to 180 members in 2024.
  • Members of the group are requested to make a minimum annual contribution of 18,000 NIS which will be considered a membership fee.
  • One of the Circle of Friends members will be appointed to serve as the voluntary Circle of Friends’ chairman. In 2022-2023, Gil Deutsch served in this position, & he will continue to do so in 2024.
  • ar the Tzohar directorate will set strategic goals to which the membership fees in the Circle of Friends will be directed. Donors reserve the right to designate his or her contribution to another Tzohar activity of his or her choice. In 2024, it was decided to direct the funds to Tzohar’s Marriage Initiative.
  • Tzohar will provide the Circle of Friends with ongoing reports & a full annual report of activities, as well as an explanation of the use of funds.

Activities

  • Two annual events.
  • Experiential Shabbat with a special guest speaker or a special mission abroad.
  • Opportunity to provide Tzohar’s services to your employees or business colleagues.
  • Invitation to a special VIP reception during Tzohar’s summer conference.
  • Opportunity to host a study session or a Shabbaton with one of the leading rabbis of the organization in your office or home community.
